The ultra-lightweight TCL Nxtwear S Plus packs a serious punch with vibrant 600-nit displays.

AR glasses are a pair of smart glasses that have 600-nit displays, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 215-inch screen. They have a 1920 x 1080 resolution for 2D visuals and a 3840 x 1080 resolution for 3D content. The glasses are also lightweight, weighing 87g.

TCL has just rolled out its latest AR glasses, the Nxtwear S Plus. These bad boys are an upgrade from the Nxtwear S, and they’re here to level up your AR experience without breaking the bank.

At $399, the Nxtwear S Plus lets you connect to your phone or gaming console easily using USB-C DisplayPort or optional adapters. This means you can dive into your favourite movies, shows, games, and apps on a massive virtual screen that’s like sitting six metres away from a 215-inch display!

The original Nxtwear S was no slouch, but the Plus version kicks it up a notch. You get sharper visuals with 3D content at 3840 x 1080 pixels, and the brightness is pumped up to 600 nits for richer colours and better contrast.

And let’s talk about smoothness – the dual displays now run at a silky 120Hz refresh rate, making everything look super smooth. Sure, 4K resolution would’ve been nice, but for this price, TCL is still delivering some serious gigs for your money.

But what really sets the Nxtwear S Plus apart is its featherweight design. Weighing in at just 87 grams – that’s lighter than a typical smartphone – these glasses are ultra-comfortable for long binge-watching sessions.

As for availability in India, well, we’ll have to wait and see. But with its features and wallet-friendly price tag, the TCL Nxtwear S Plus is definitely worth keeping an eye out for.
