National Highways Authority Of India (NHAI) has started a new rule of one vehicle one fastag, which will help a better and simpler toll process. It prevents people from using the same tags for different vehicles and vice versa, making the process difficult. To make this scheme effective, the government has announced that vehicles with incomplete KYC will be blocked.

Checking Fastag KYC Status
- Go to the web portal ( https://fastag.ihmcl.com )
- Choose the login option, either by the password or by the OTP.
- After logging in, find the dashboard menu, on the left of it click on my profile.
- The My Profile page will show the KYC status and the profile details submitted during the process.
How to Do KYC of Fastag
Step 1. On the My Profile page, find the KYC subsection, next to the profile option.
Step 2. Click on KYC, and you’ll be asked for your customer type.
Step 3. Fill in all the necessary details, including ID proof and address proof documents. Subsequently, upload your photograph and address.
Step 4. Before the submission ensure you tick up a box claiming the documents are authentic and you have the original with you.
Step 5. Proceed with the KYC verification process.
With these steps, you can easily check and update your KYC status.

- RC of the vehicle
- Passport-size photograph of the owner
- KYC documents – ID proof, Driving Licence, PAN card, Address Proof
Fastag Buying on Paytm
If you want to choose Paytm as your KYC updating method, you can follow the given steps for the same.
1) Search Fastag on the Paytm app, and click on buy Fastag for Car/Jeep/Van icon in the store
2) Enter the vehicle’s registration number and upload the RC.
3) Confirm your address and choose the payment option from the given.

Fastag KYC Update Through IDFC Bank
If you wish the upload the KYC using the IDFC bank follow these steps to complete it.
Step 1. Visit the IDFC bank website and log in with your registered mobile number.
Step 2. After logging in, you’ll find a services request option on the left side, click that.
Step 3. You’ll find two options to update: RC update and KYC update.
Step 4. Click on the KYC update option and then the Full KYC option.
Step 5. You’ll be asked to upload a PAN card, Driving Licence, Passport, Voter ID, and Adhar card.
Step 6. After uploading these documents, you’ll get a message of successful, and then you’ll get a processing number for your KYC for confirmation.
