Microsoft Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 Speculations

Reports suggest that Microsoft might unveil its new Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 later this month. These devices are speculated to be the company’s first AI-powered PCs, possibly integrating AI features expected to come to Windows 11 later this year. According to sources, these PCs will come with Intel’s latest 14th-generation processors and Qualcomm X series chipsets, alongside next-gen neural processing units (NPU).

An article from Windows Central, citing unnamed sources, suggests that both Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 could hit the shelves on March 21. These purported AI PCs may feature Intel Core Ultra and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite-based chips, marking the first time Microsoft offers Surface Laptops with both Intel and Arm processor options.

While specific details remain scarce, there are hints about key specifications. The Surface Pro 10 might sport an anti-reflective, brighter OLED panel supporting HDR content and a new webcam with an ultrawide sensor. This webcam could be enhanced with AI Studio Effects, slated for release later this year, along with an integrated NFC reader. Its design is expected to closely resemble its predecessor.

Meanwhile, the Surface Laptop 6 could undergo some design enhancements, including thinner bezels with rounded corners for the display and a new haptic touchpad. Additionally, it might incorporate a dedicated Copilot key, announced by Microsoft last year for Windows laptops. This device could also introduce a new set of ports, such as two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port on the left side, with the magnetic Surface Connect charger possibly placed on the right.

Both devices are anticipated to deliver improved battery life and performance. Reports suggest that they might hit the market in two phases, with the Intel chip-powered models possibly arriving in April, followed by the Arm models in June.
