Oppo F23 5G is a new mid-range smartphone from Oppo that offers amazing features and a powerful battery. It is also a great device for gaming enthusiasts, especially for those who love playing Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). In this article, we will test the performance of Oppo F23 5G in BGMI and see how it handles the graphics, frame rate, and battery consumption.
Oppo F23 5G Specifications
Before we start the BGMI test, let’s take a look at the specifications of Oppo F23 5G. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 octa-core processor, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 11 with ColorOS 12 on top.
The Oppo F23 5G has a quad-camera setup at the back, which consists of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout. The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Oppo F23 5G BGMI Test
To test the gaming performance of Oppo F23 5G in BGMI, we installed the game from the Google Play Store and updated it to the latest version. We then checked the graphics settings and found that the device supports up to Ultra HD graphics and Ultra frame rate. We also enabled anti-aliasing, shadows, and brightness for better visuals.
We played three matches of BGMI on Oppo F23 5G with different graphics settings: Smooth + Extreme, HD + High, and Ultra HD + Ultra. We used GameBench app to measure the average frame rate, stability, CPU usage, and battery drain during each match. Here are the results:
– Smooth + Extreme: This setting gave us the best performance in terms of frame rate and stability. The average frame rate was around 59 FPS with a stability of 99%. The CPU usage was around 18% and the battery drain was around 6% per match.
– HD + High: This setting gave us decent performance but with some occasional drops in frame rate and stability. The average frame rate was around 40 FPS with a stability of 93%. The CPU usage was around 22% and the battery drain was around 7% per match.
– Ultra HD + Ultra: This setting gave us the worst performance in terms of frame rate and stability. The average frame rate was around 25 FPS with a stability of 82%. The CPU usage was around 28% and the battery drain was around 9% per match.
Based on these results, we can conclude that Oppo F23 5G can handle BGMI very well on Smooth + Extreme setting, which is ideal for competitive gaming. However, if you want to enjoy better graphics quality, you can also play on HD + High setting without much compromise in performance. We do not recommend playing on Ultra HD + Ultra setting as it will cause significant lag and stuttering.
